I often get asked about the LaLa Confetti origin story so I wanted to share it here.
The true origins of LaLa Confetti start a couple years before we even came up with the name 'LaLa Confetti'.
It was back in 2014, when a photo of something I made as a donation to my daughters fundraising group went viral.
At the time, I was exploring becoming a Blogger (that didn't quite work out!) and I needed content. If you've ever tried blogging, you will know that you are always looking for content ideas.
I had just made something with my new-ish Silhouette Cameo and I figured it was good enough to make a blog post out of it. I took that really bad photo, put it on the blog post and pinned it to Pinterest.
Somehow (and this is where I think the Universe jumped in 😉), it ended up on a radio station facebook page. That radio station was in Toronto if I remember right. No where near me!
Also note... there is no link in that facebook post. No mention of my blog or website. This was not a product for sale anywhere. How people actually found my
blog post ... it's a mystery to me. But they did, and it's where LaLa Confetti was started.
In the comments section on the blog, they would ask me where they could buy one. Well, I had this Etsy shop where I was selling baby booties so I just started directing people there. It was kind of crazy town for weeks!
In no way did I think it would continue. I just thought it would fade out in a few weeks. I was not familiar with buying inventory and each purchase felt like a big deal because I didn't want to end up with a garage full of wine tumblers I would never be able to sell.
I had to recruit some help from my kiddos in those early days!
That was the start of what eventually developed into LaLa Confetti.
Here's a list of critical the things I did not have:

✅ willingness to try
✅ history of failed biz attempts
One thing led to another and in 2016 LaLa Confetti was created.
I share this story for 2 reasons ...
1. Because there may be one of you who feels like they want to do try something but aren't quite sure how to do it. I want you to know you can just start and figure it out along the way.
2. Because sometimes things happen and you don't even realize how they will change your world. If you have followed your curiosity, and you are prepared for the opportunity, you can take advantage of any luck that comes your way.
I have tried and failed at things within the business. Many, many things. If fact, more things fail than succeed.
But that's okay. I think that's how most of life is anyway. 😉
I'm just grateful that there are customers like you who see the good in LaLa Confetti that allows me to do something I love every day.
